We reached a milestone. Ten Years ago the adventure started with the purchase of the Jeep. Five years later the restoration was complete, and now for the last five years the Jeep has participated in Shows, Parades and many fun rides for the Grand kids!

It's hard to belive, but the City of Edmonds will be having their annual 4th of July Prade after all. It was orginally cancelled due to Covid. I put the M2 50 Cal on. It's always a crowd pleaser. (See Public Events)

May/27/2019

2019 Season opened with a special Memorial Day celebration. The Jeep took a front and center position to honor the veterans who sacrificed their all for the freedoms we experience in the greatest nation in the world. This was a fitting season opener—for sure.
Winter Hybernation

Finished up another great season of shows and parades. Now it is time to put it away for the winter, fill the tank, put in fuel preservative, move the seats to a nice dry storage and cover the body. Then start looking forward to next spring.

Season Eight Begins!
May/13/2018

It’s on! Season Eight. This is the eighth year since we started the project. It has been our tradition to open the season by going to Dick’s Drive-In a hang out for cool cars since 1954. The year after this jeep was manufacured.
Winter Storage
Nov/09/2017

Sad day! It's always a little sad to put the Jeep away for the winter. But with its protective cover, fuel preservative, increased the air pressure in the tires and a battery tender it will be in good shape in the Spring.
Trunk or Treat
Oct/31/2017

With the warmer, dryer weather we were able to delay the Jeep's winter retirement. That gave us the opportunity to use the Jeep as a prop for "Indiana Jones" at our annual church "Trunk or Treat" Halloween celebration.
Driving the Jeep
Sep/25/2017

With the late summer weather it gives us more opportunities to take the jeep out for a Sunday drive. #Fun!

50 Cal Machine Gun Mounted
Jun/10/2017

The Piéce de résistance—we mounted the 50 cal replica on the jeep. With a couple cosmetic items and a few tweaks we have pretty much accomplished our goal, set six years and eleven months ago.
Starting Season 6
Apr/02/2017

The unwrapping! Taking the cover off after the winter break is always a thrill. We’re starting the 6th Season since we purchased the Jeep.
Prep for Winter Storage
Nov/06/2016

We prepared the Jeep for an eight month storage. We filled the gas tank, added a preservative to the fuel, slightly over inflated the tires, covered seats and put it on wheel dollies. We’ll put a car cover over the Jeep and let it hibernate for the winter—kind of sad.
Last Outing for the Season
Nov/04/2016

We took the jeep out for its last outing before putting it away for its long winter’s nap. It seemed appropriate to go back to Dick’s Drive-In, the same place we went to on the first trip of the season.
